TYC ran the 34th annual Winter Vashon race, the first in the Southern Sound Series,on Saturday December 3, 2011. This year the course ran COUNTER CLOCKWISE with a start in an easterly direction heading North to Point Robinson. 89 boats registered for the race, 81 optimic boats headed to the start line as the fog lifted off Commencement Bay. Despite low wind forecasts, all 11 classes had good breeze for starts this morning Saturday December 3, 2011. The course was shortened at the North End mark due to light winds up north. 67 boats were able to finish with last boat coming in around 7:47pm. More photos being uploaded daily.
