Hello fellow sailors,

June is upon us and that means it's time for Summer Vashon.  The event will be held on Saturday June 19th with a post race party at TYC.

This years race will feature the standard course around Vashon Island for those sailing in the PHRF fleet.  By popular demand, for the cruisers, we will be offering a shorter course that does not go around the island.  The actual course will be announced at the skipper's meeting on the morning of the race.

TYC has new, large signal flags and a louder signal cannon for this and all future races.  The starting sequence may also be announced over the VHF radio.

If you have any questions or input, please contact  Burr Hope at 253-761-1276.  Or, you can e-mail us at tycsail@gmail.com.

We hope you all can make it.  We're sure this great weather will hold until then.

Thanks,

Burr Hope

Join us for the 41th running of this fun annual event that will take the fleet from the start/finish line off Tacoma Yacht Club, around Vashon Island finishing back at TYC.  In addition to PHRF classes there will also be a cruising class.  The event is open to flying and non-flying sails entries in both classes.  Join us after the race for snacks and refreshments.
