Single / Double Handed Race

Eligibility: Open to all RACING sailboats with valid PHRF ratings certificates (RACING DIVISION), and CRUISER-type sailboats with or without spinnakers (CRUISER DIVISION). All entries must be a member of a PIYA affiliated club and must meet PIYA Category III safety requirements.

Registration:  Completed registration must be received by the TYC Race Chairman by 0800 hours on race day. Entry Fee : $20

Dinner/Social: Join other sailors on Friday, May 11^th. for Happy Hour at 5 PM, with a no-host dinner at 6:30 PM.  A short Skippers meeting will be held at 8:30 PM.

Rules: The 2005-2008 Racing Rules of Sailing

Class Flags, Rating Breaks and Starting order (classes may be added or combined as participation warrants):

Class A : Up to 95 PHRF                                               Class F: CRUISER  (Spinn & NFS):      

Class B: 96 – 145                                                          Class M: Multihulls:                 

Class C: 146 & above

Boats will start under their class flag, rating breaks and starting order changes will be posted at the TYC Clubhouse Bulletin Board and announced at the skippers meeting and broadcast on VHF channel 72 prior to the first warning.

Start Time: 0955 Warning for classes A&B, Class C will occur 5 minutes after, Cruiser Class F, 5 minutes later, then Multihull, Class M, 5 minutes after class F.  Each boat will have 6 hours to finish sailing their course.

COURSE: Boats will start off the TYC Clubhouse and sail to a course as posted by the Race Committee in accordance with the attached course chart legend.

In consideration for participating in this event, I represent to its organizers that my yacht has liability insurance currently in effect, covering property damage, personal injury and death in an amount not less than $300,000 per occurrence, and that the policy covers yacht racing activities; I acknowledge that the decision to enter my yacht and participate in this race is solely my own; and I agree to be bound by the International Yacht Racing Rules as adopted by US Sailing, including national prescription, except as modified by the Vessel Traffic Safety Rules, the organizers, and the Race Notice for this event.
