Welcome!

Dating back to 1889, The Tacoma Yacht Club is among the oldest yachting organizations on Puget Sound.  With 900+ members, it's also one of the largest.  1919 marked TYC's move to Its present location near Point Defiance and our Clubhouse and protected moorage have become well known Tacoma landmarks.

TYC maintains close community ties and has created events that have become traditions in the City of Destiny.  Best known is the annual Daffodil Parade of Boats.  2006 will be the club's 54th consecutive year hosting this event.  This year over 60 boats from 14 area clubs are expected to participate.  Mark you calendar during Daffodil Festival Week and join the crowds along Ruston Way for this annual favorite.

While our site was created as an information resource for members of TYC and other Northwest clubs, everyone is welcome and we hope you enjoy your visit!   In the Boating Links section you will find literally hundreds of links to marine manufacturers, publications and suppliers, and links to government sites for weather, tides, charts and much more.   Your comments and questions are welcome.  Feel free to email us at the link to the left.
