| The "Shipmates" will
celebrate out "70th" anniversary as the women's auxiliary to the Tacoma
Yacht Club this calendar year. We would like to extend an invitation to
all ladies of the club to join our organization to make this a "specially"
successful year. We are a group of friendly, energetic women who give
their time and talents to benefit all of Tacoma Yacht Club. Our luncheon meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month, starting at 11:30am social hour, lunch at noon, entertainment and business meeting. Our Board, which consists of a President, Vice President, three officers, four board members, Past President, and the Commodore's wife as Honorary Board Member, meet the third Wednesday of each month at 10:00am with lunch after. We welcome all members to attend the Board Meetings. Our activities include Children's Christmas Party, Christmas Needy Children gift giving, decorating the clubhouse for Christmas, selling sweatshirts on Daffodil weekend, hosting the Tour of Boats, and helping, where needed at all the social events of the yacht club. Please join us in continuing the traditions of Shipmates to support, through financial contributions, the Tacoma Yacht Club, the Junior Sailing Program, the scholarship for "Miss Congeniality" voted by the Daffodil Princess Court, Breast Cancer Research, and the Sea Scouts.
