Dear Daffodil Regatta Participant:

The Tacoma Yacht Club invites your organization to participate in the 2006 Daffodil Marine Regatta weekend. The theme this year is “Daffodil Delights” and the dates are April 21, 22 and 23.

Attached is your Daffodil information packet. Included are club and individual vessel registration forms for those who desire moorage in the TYC basin. Please make as many copies of the individual registration forms as you need for your group. Basin moorage will be allocated on a space-available basis so we would appreciate an early return of these forms. We will notify you if any of your boats cannot be accommodated; boats over 52 feet LOA need approval of the Basin Commander. To ensure consideration for moorage, the vessel registration forms must be received by TYC no later than March 13, 2006.

All participating yacht club commodores and guest are invited to a reception in the Crows Nest of the TYC Clubhouse on Saturday, April 22 at 4:30PM. Dress is boating casual with name tags.

The officers and members of TYC are looking forward to another successful Regatta and are anxious to see all of our friends. Chairpersons for this year are Don & Stella Patterson and Jeff & Sharon Cunningham. If you have any questions, please call TYC at 253 752-3555.

DAFFODIL PARADE JUDGING

CRITERIA FOR 2006

CLASSES:

Theme: Vessels decorated to meet the theme "DAFFODIL DELIGHTS" using daffodils (minimum 1000, maximum 5,000) and other decorative media.

Classic Wooden : Classic wooden vessels decorated to meet the theme "Daffodil Delights" using daffodils (minimum none, maximum 5,000) and other decorative media.

Flag Ship: Vessels carrying bridge officers for participating clubs. Vessels to be decorated with daffodils (minimum 500, maximum 3000) and other identifying media (flags, pennants, banners) to identify the club.

JUDGING CRITERIA:

Themeand Classic Wooden will be judged on the following criteria: (Mayor’s Trophy and two additional awards will be made in these classes)
